LIRR commuters- especially Ronkonkoma line
So looking at the online schedule, it seems like the trains are running on their old schedule again. However, I feel like on here people were saying that is not the case and when you get to the station trains are running late or not running at all, etc
So- can I trust the online schedule or is it off?
I need to be in the city tomorrow and I want to at least have an idea of what time I will ACTUALLY be getting in and home if possible.

Dont trust it....its definitely not accurate. They still have cancelled trains in there. I have found coocoo to be pretty accurate, and on their website you can find a list of trains that are cancelled.

Also for me the trains have been packed. I guess with the gas shortage people are taking the train more?
Hey, get off my train! j/k

I don't know... the way the LIE has been for the past few days, I'd say people aren't concerned anymore about gas. The traffic has been atrocious! Worse than it was before Sandy.

Re: LIRR commuters- especially Ronkonkoma line
I took the Ronkonkoma train yesterday and had no issues. Both trains were on time and not crowded. Took the 9:14 to Ronkonkoma and the 4:48 back to Penn.

I think they are more packed because accordign to the MTA website they are cancelling a few trains in the AM and a few in the PM That leads to more people per train.

If you're leaving during peak hours, be there early.
Trains are pretty packed.
