LIRR & Snow

If it really snows 12 inches, does the LIRR usually run?

In the blizzard fo 2006 it took me 4 hours to get from Ronkonkoma to Penn....they originally terminated service in Jamaica but re-opened it just as my train got there. FUN FUN FUN!

Re: LIRR & Snow

I am trying to convince DH to stay home.. but, he has a huge project at work and thinks he need to go in rather than work from home... I think he's nuts!!! It will take forever, both ways... and his car will be snowed in at the train station..

I thought his car would be plowed in.. .but, DH says, "Don't worry LIRR never plows thier lots".. Chat Icon
