I opened it slowly, expecting to be shocked.
And I was.
It was $156.
Wait, lemme look again...
yep, it was $156.
I was actually expecting it to be $356!
It pays to buy energy efficient ACs and we are really glad we put in the attic fan.

I agree....I expected our bill to be higher as well. Those energy saving AC's really do cut down on the electric bill

that's great too!
We only run two ACs. The big one in the living room and the smaller one in the bedroom but they are on energy save all day set at 72. My kitties really appreciate it.
eta: the big one cools the whole downstairs..27K btu!

You know, our bill we got was also really low, considering what we were expecting it to be with our CAC on 24/7 (although we have it programmed to be efficient). Last summer, one month is was $440, this summer, our highest was $325 (July). Our last bill for August was only $220

thats awsome
im super afraid to get my first elec bill for this new house.. we have SUPER old cac unit we run all the time.. so im expecting TONS of $$ due... i was hoping it woudl break so we could get one of those new efficient ones

I was expecting a large bill too. Last year this end-of summer bill was over $400. I got my bill yesterday and it's only $274. We didn't replace our old-non-energy-efficient ACs yet either. I guess we didn't have them on as much this year? Who knows but I'm glad I'm not paying another $400 bill!
