Re: Lip threading

I think threading lasts longer but it will probably hurt more then waxing. JMO. I thread my eyebrows but I am too scared to thread the lips.

I was so scared of lip threading for so long figuring it hurt more then eyebrows. However when I finally caved it really didnt hurt at all, much less then when they do eyebrows. Go for it!

Re: Lip threading

I Love it... everytime I go they say "Upper Lip" and I want to punch them in their face...

BUT... I want to say I finally caved in and did it Last week, and it hurt, but not as much as I thought it was going too...

Good Luck!

Exactly! I went to the nail place for a color change on my toes and the woman said my nails were ugly and I needed a full pedicure. I stood my ground and gained support from the other ladies in the shop.

Re: Lip threading

I typically wax and I tried lip threading. I thought it was really painful, but I also thought eyebrow threading was too. my eyes teared the whole time. I will stick to waxing!

They do this to me too everytime I get my eyebrows done and I never think I need it but they claim I do..so I let them...and its not terrible but it definitely hurts much more than eyebrows....

eta: i know what you mean about how rude they are but i've been going to them for years in hicksville and now that they are in huntington i'd hate to have to find someplace else to go to.

nope, it looks cleaner at least to me when it grows back AND the best part is- you can totally see when the new hair comes in and pluck it your self too. I have done that also, it grows in very slow compared to when I used to get waxed.
ah who cares about the comment, if you like them and trust them I would let them do it.

Re: Lip threading

I get my eyebrows threaded and one time I let the lady talk me into getting my upper lip done. Now, to me, threading doesn't hurt at all, I have very thick eyebrow hairs and it just feels like plucking to me.

Well, when she did the fine, tiny hairs on my upper lip, it HURT! My eyes were watering and I almost told her to stop after she did one side... I never had it done again.. I do get it growing back though Chat Icon
