Lining thickness

I can't find any good answers on google, today the nurse told me the measurement of my lining and said it was 5.3. What are some normal numbers? Is this normal?

Re: Lining thickness

Your lining thickness completely depends upon where you are in your cycle, what phase, etc.

My normal isn't really the "norm" so again, it depends. I've used supps in the past to increase blood flow and thickness.

Re: Lining thickness

I have lining issues... but like KMCGK said, it al depends on where you are in your cycle. If you are at the beginning of your cycle, recently had a period, etc... it makes sense for it to be thinner. By the time your trigger or transfer, it should ideally be at least an 8 and trilaminar (triple layered) ... but again, everyone is different.

I am a week from the end of my cycle with a 5.3. I'm guessing this is too thin.

So then how do you know you're one week from the end of your cycle? Do you have a normal luteal phase?

If you're asking if 5.3 is thick enough for implantation, a betting woman would say no. But, you never "know" really. If it's triple layered, no fluid, good blood flow, anything can happen.

My cycle is 32 days down to the minute every month. I am assuming this month will be the same and that is why I said a week.

32 day cycle, on CD25 now, if assume normal cycle you would ovulate on CD18

Are you seeking the help of an RE, they would be able to tell you if you're ovulating. If not, how'd you know that your lining was measuring 5.3?

Yes, the RE told me today that my lining was 5.3 and there was evidence that I ovulated. I said I wasn't sure when because I never got a positive opk and my temp never went up.

Oh, I see. Chat Icon
I'd ask for full monitoring (sono and blood) so you'll know for sure and not question anything next time.

monitoring should come prior to ovulation for proper BD timing. after ovulation is too late to effect anything (other than progesterone). most of us dont even go in to the RE after O because we already know it happened and are on progesterone. not really sure of the point of saying what your lining is at this point cause he cant help change it. thats something that should be corrected (where possible) prior to O to give you the best chances. that being said, anything can happen!! good luck!!
