Re: LIFE INSURANCE
Be sure you pick a company that is highly rated by AM Best and Standard & Poors. It rates the financial stability of a company. You don't want to just shop price and have the company later go under leaving you uncovered. Also make sure you go with an Agent you feel comfortable with - someone you trust. Good companies can have bad agents so don't sign if you don't like the agent. Be wary of anyone that's charging a fee just to talk to you as well.
If your husband is Catholic he can take advantage of the Knights of Columbus inurance program an additional benefits, ie: scholarship programs. My DH is the General Agent for Suffolk County but he could put you in touch with someone in your area if you're not in Suffolk.
PM me if you want more info on the Knights of Columbus insurance.
By the way, some companies will not insure the mother if she's applying for insurance while pregnant, but the Knights will, and they have additional benifit that cover the unborn child at no charge.
