Liberty Fences

For those of you whom have used Liberty--

I just called them as we didn't install the fence ourselves, the previous homeowners did. I have an issue in the corner where the fence is separating...and then part of my lattice is cracked on my gate.

They are telling me I have to pay $100 to transfer the warranty...and then that the fence separating is covered under the warranty.

The gate, they're telling me is only warrantied for 6 mos (WHAT?) and that the fee to have it "looked at" is $195. Then they dont know if they can fix the lattice or if they need to replace the entire gate...does that sound like a hell of a lot of money for a cracked lattice or is it me?

Also, does all of this sound standard?

TIA!

I can't give you advice about your fence but I can say the guy who came to our house to give an estimate was a a jerk.

Maybe you can get a copy of the warranty they give current customers... just to see if it does include a clause about the transfer fee? It will atleast give you piece of mind...

Re: Liberty Fences

it sounds like a ton to replace lattice since they just slip it in, but as far as the warranty, I am not sure...sorry.
