Li IVF-Genetic Counselor
Dr Brenner suggested we go see a genetic counselor before we start IVF.
I was born with a heart murmur and this is the reason he suggested it.
My question is- Do we HAVE to go? is this something we need to do in order to start IVF? or is it optional?

A very good friend of mine is a genetics counselor, and highly recommends seeing one if issues have been found with results from your genetic/immunology tests. Although an RE is very well qualified to interpret results, it is recommended to see someone who has speciality in the field.

well he wants me to go mostly for the murmur. I havent gotten the gentic test results yet.
