LI-IVF BILLING VENT !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Hey Ladies,

I totally need to vent on here about the billing department at LI-IVF. Close to 8 weeks ago, I had labwork done and found out two weeks or so later that LI-IVF sent my labwork THROUGH QUEST DIAGNOSTICS. My ins. company no longer accepts Quest, and I ended up with a 630.00 lab bill. UHC mailed me a check for 230.00, so the remaining 400 dollars needs to be paid by LI-IVF for their mistake.

I called up SUEANN from the Lake Success office for her to tell me, "this happens all the time. Our office will end up paying the bill. I'll give this info directly to Scott Williams, and he will contact Quest." That was on 4/2. I called back two weeks later to find out that this SCOTT WILLIAMS never called Quest. My 630 dollar bill is apparently a JOKE to them.

Fast forward to today. Just got off the phone with CHRIS in billing from the Melville Office for her to say, "I'm so sorry, I thought Scott took care of this." Well lady, he didn't. It's now almost two months later and I'm still stuck with this bill. I will not pay this bill!!! It was THEIR MISTAKE! I just called and left a pretty blunt message for Scott Williams and told him that I'm livid - I'm sure he won't call back this time either.

The part that PI$$ES me off to no end is that NO ONE IS RETURNING MY CALLS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! THEY messed up and send my bloods through Quest when I SPECIFICALLY TOLD THEM NOT TO! NOW, they are dodging my calls and giving me the run around.

I told Chris to please EMAIL ME IN WRITING that this bill will be taken care of, and she said "sure, I will." I DON'T BELIEVE HER!

I will NOT continue to get tests done at LI-IVF until this issue is reconciled! This issue is HOLDING UP the fertility process for me, and I'm beyond livid.

Any advice for what I can do next? I told Quest everything, and they noted my file with the info. I am BLATENTLY being LIED TO, and I'm half tempted to DRIVE OUT TO MELVILLE (over an hour away) to get in their FACES to get this done.

GRRRRRRRRRRRRRR!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Word to the wise, EVERY SINGLE TIME YOU GET BLOODWORK DONE, REMIND these people where your labs should be sent to. EVEN AFTER I TOLD THE NURSE, my bloods were STILL sent out to Quest!!!!

Wow...I've been going to LI-IVF for over a year and have never recieved a bill from either them or any labs...I've also never had a problem with who they send the labwork to. As a matter of fact, they told me that my insurance no longer accepted Quest and were using Enzo.Chat Icon

Gerty, I could CRY right now I'm so frustrated. My credit is great, and I'm afraid that their mistake is going to mess it up.

Why are they telling me that they DIDN'T KNOW that United Health Care no longer accepts Quest? They are playing dumb and giving me the run around. They said, "it will be taken care of", but this Scott Williams person - the one in CHARGE of taking care of it - won't call me back! WHAT DO I DO????????????????????????????

I would ask Quest to call LI-IVF directly. Give them the name and contact # or call your insurance company and ask them to call LI-IVF directly... maybe a call coming from an office would take priority over a call coming from a patient.

I'm sorry you're having problems. Don't worry about this messing up your credit, as long as Quest knows what's going on it's fine. I had an issue with them for over 6 months (not LI-IVF related) and as long as they had their notes that it was being resolved it was fine.

I'm a LI-IVF patient and haven't had any problems myself but I do think the move to the new Melville office screwed everyone up there for a while.

send them a certified/return receipt letter requesting that this matter be taken care of. cc Quest .

Don't worry.....your credit will not be effected......medical collections do not report to anywhere. If you had rcvd money from your insurance and didn't pay the doctor that would be a whole other story...but that isn't your case....so don't worry about it.

Thanks for all of your support...

I'm going to send a letter (return receipt) cc'd to Quest after I cool off over the weekend.

I'm also going to leave a message for SCOTT WILLIAMS every day until the man returns my call. They will get VERY sick of me VERY soon.

This can't be good for the TTC process!

I would go down to see them to resolve this issue and send a follow-up letter. This shouldn't have happened! I went to LI IVF and have the same insurance but never had this problem.
