Let's talk Toddler toys. . .

OK, so Bella is 18 months and I want to get her some new toys(we held off before we moved on getting a ton of stuff because our apartment was small).

You know stimulating but fun...I want to get a few and have about 100-150 bucks to spend...(I already have some things like Aquadoodle, tea set, shopping cart, small dollhouse, little people bus and farm, abc magnets, dr set, pocketbook--and a TON of books)

Got some great ideas???(where can I find good stuff that she can learn from?)

Nate got a whole bunch of toys for Christmas and he likes the most simple things..... Legos. He got a bag of the mega blocks and can play with them for an hour straight.

He also likes the V-Tech Smartville Alphabet train.

Can't really help you with anything else.... He's really into hot wheels and dump trucks.

One of my favorite toys is:
Mozart's Magic Cube:

I love that my kids can pick out a flute out of a song playing.

I think you can get more bang out of simple puzzles to encourage problem solving or a shape sorter.

Jared has the Little People's Airplane and I'm looking for the bus when it comes in at KB. I get tons of books from Marshalls. He also loves to play with the Fridge Phonics Alphabet toy.

Bella likes the Little People OK (we have the house, the farm, and the bus) but she doesn't get it all quite yet.

She loves the fridge phonics alphabet and sings along...there is also the farm animal version, she dances to the music and moos with the cow.

Bumping for the morning crew, looking for learning tool toys (alphabet, numbers, is she ready for coloring?)

Jared just "got it" last month and I have spotted him playing with the little guys...putting them in the plane and babbling. I didn't know there is a farm animal version!! I need that too...he loves anything with animals (and trucks). I even broke out the Baby Einstein videos again and he loves the Baby MacDonald on the farm.

ETA: My mother bought him an oversized coloring book (the backyardigans) at Target with some crayons recently. He loves to scribble. Just make sure you buy the washable crayons...Chat Icon
