Lets talk about Plainedge SD?
I know they don't always pass the budget but how is the district over all? Would you say it is comparable to Massapequa SD...better...or....not as good.

Just as good as Massapequa. We are also looking at houses in Plainedge SD.

I remember house hunting a few yrs ago and Mass SD had a better rep than the others - not sure how accurate that is though.
I do think it was great that the community really rallied together to get the budget passed after the first one failed 2 yrs ago or so. That says the community at least cares about the kids!

I would say that Massapequa is a better district than Plainedge.

I went to Plainedge schools and I loved it! All the schools in the district are good and the SD itself is rather small (my graduating HS class was less than 175)!
When they didn't pass the budget the whole community got together and raised enough money for sports and extra curricular events! Its nice because its a really close knit community!
