Leather top coffe table- ripped (Updated with a pic)
We have this table from Raymour & Flanagan...
Its less than 2 years old and almost immediately it got a small tear in the top (the leather is SUPER thin)...Little by little there have been other small tears and my DD just pretty much did the table in by picking at one of the rips 
What can I do ? Get it repaired, repair it myself somehow  ??? Who do I call for something like this ?
I really wish I had bought the dumb warranty because the table was almost $400 
Here is the carnage
The rip itself is probably only about half the size of a quarter...There are a few other minor holes on other parts of the table ( that will surely become bigget now that DD knows to mess around with them  )....

I could ask DH ( he works there ) to see if they would do anything. Since you don't have a warranty , I am not sure they can do anything

does the top pop off? looks like the leather is molded to the backing, so not sure what could be done to repair it other than get an entirely new top.
can you take some pictures of the rips and post them? might be able to help better seeing the extent of the damage.

ETA  ...By any chance can you ask him this as well....
We bought our sectional at Rooms Unlimited (same time, about 2 years ago) and it has a recliner on the end....As you can see from the pic, the material kind of just "hangs" there where it seperates..We asked the drivers at delivery if that was normal and they said yes it has to be like that or it would not recline...We accepted that, we have never had a sectional before...
Anyhow, since then we have taken notice of other peoples sectionals and never saw such it so noticeable like that ...I am so worried one of my DC's are going to rip it because it just sticks out ( I also get worried when I walk past that it will get snagged on something and tear)...Here is a pic, if he has any suggestions or reccomendations on whether thsi is normal and if so what we can do to prevent a mis-hap, that would be great
(the micro suede on the sectional is also super thing  ) It makes me crazy everytime I look at it

ETA- Sorry, just DH just told me that the sectional was bought at Rooms Unlimited ( but if your DH has any words of wisdom I'd be so happy to hear it )

From what I can tell the top doesnt come off...I'll have to have my DH take a peek...
I'm going to snap a pic and post...be back shortly  !

Did they say that it was real leather? It looks like it is vinyl from the picture. That is probably why it ripped off a big chunk like that.

Now that I read the decription online it says faux leather- so that would make sense

definitely looks like faux leather, so it likely would have done this regardless. BUT, i think that you could totally DIY fix this if you were crafty with a good sewing machine and had the time.
You could pop off the top (probably can do it by turning it over and look for screws into the bottom of the top), unstaple the current fabric to expose the actual base (and possible padding; can't tell if its a hard top from the picture) and then get some new fabric/faux leather, cover it, staple it down and then reattach it to the base. May not have the nice stitching the original had, unless you had a fancy sewing machine that could go through that type of material, but it would be pretty close.

I am sure you could have that easily repaired - just see if its worth it first - might be as much as a new coffee table so IDK - you could always reupholser with a diff fabric i suppsose...
