Would you recommend it? DD is 1 but not walking yet. Looking to set up a playdate with a friend who has a 16 month old.
Any other suggestions besides ONce Upon a Treetop. It's great bur We went there last time.

My personal though is there are toys they can play with there, but why pay $12. when she wont get much out of it. If crowded....she may get trampled. Why not have playdate at your house? How about sunrise or broadway mall in the play area? Another thought is the Jetclub at Cradle of aviation. There are plenty of books the child can look at & play with blocks.

Re: Le play cafe
LePlay Cafe is great, but it focuses on imaginary play activities such as dress up, Melissa and Doug shopping carts, tea sets, cozy coupe cars and gross motor activities, climbing up a ladder, then sliding down a slide. When we went my DD was 2 and the majority of the kids there was between 2 - 6. My DD does not have strong gross motor skills so I had to shadow her the whole time. Kids are running back and forth, pushing shopping carts and riding in cArs. IMO, there is nothing for babies to do there and they are at risk for getting run down by older kids. I would never take a non ambulatory baby there nor a new walker.
For myself and my friends we just enjoy coffee/dessert at each other's homes while the babies play. It's no fun when one kid goes one way and the other kids goes the other way and the moms have to stay with their kid in a larger environment. I barely saw my friend when we went there.
I've never been to Once Upon a Treetop. What do they have there for Babies?

Thanks for the feedback. I guess I will wait until DD is older and can enjoy herself there.
Once upon a treetop is mostly imaginary play with different "stores" and places set up to play in like a supermarket, vet, school, etc. i did have to shadow her the entire time and as pp mentioned, I hardly got to see my friend. We'll stick to a playdate at home tomorrow'
