Re: LaurenExp
I didn't get to ask the questions!
He never got my records from my other doctor's office so now I have to go back another time so he can review them with me.
He did agree to do my IUI this weekend. I like this office better because they will scan you to see if you ovulated yet and do another IUI if you didn't. That's much better than the office I'm at now. They never scan. They just assume you're ovulating because you got a surge.
So, I basically just told him my story, he gave me an exam, did a sono, saw that I had 3 follies, two ready to drop and took some blood. He said if I'm not surging that we'll do an HCG shot and I'll have the IUI Saturday, otherwise it'll be tomorrow. I'm also quite happy that they do the sperm washing right in the office. Before I had to go to Stony Brook Hospital to wash ther sperm then bring it with me to the office. This sounds like a really quick deal!
He was nice, but kind of -- how do I explain...stern. But that's okay. He told me I reminded him of Chloe from 24, meanwhile I don't know who she is. Anyone else know? Not sure if it was an insult or not! I asked him and he said no, believe me I've had worse. He was compared to House MD! He felt that was an insult!
ETA:
He was also questioning me a lot as to why I was leaving my current doctor. He says he speaks with him frequently and that he's an excellent and thorough doctor, especially with his testing, and didn't understand why I would leave, especially since he got me pregnant once (chemical). I gave him my reasons...crappy office hours, I felt he wasn't dedicated enough to his practice and was more interested in his studies and research. And the fact that LI IVF is a center of excellence with my insurance company, which means that I don't pay copays, where at my other office, it was costing me sometimes $450 cycle, and he missed an ovulation! He still seemed unsure, but whatever. Just treat me!

Re: LaurenExp
3 follies??that is great! I'm praying that this IUI is the one that does the trick for you. It's odd that your previous office does not scan you to check to ovulation..especially if your on Clomid, i'm glad that your new office does this.

Re: LaurenExp
Congrats! I think this sounds better. I also hate the way Lydic doesn't give U/S after a surge.

Re: LaurenExp
He does seem to come off as a bit harsh in the beginning, but he is very involved - at least with me he has been. At least he liked your last Dr. After my HSG, he told me that my other RE called themselves a Center for Excellence and he thinks they are anything but that. Hopefully, your three follies are the last ones you have to worry about for the next nine months!!!
