Late Night Eating
So, I have GOT to make a pledge (and I'm doing it here for all of you to see) to STOP eating after 7PM no matter what. My husband gets home late and I've been in the habit of waiting for him to get home to eat dinner but A) it's not healthy to eat that late B) it's bad for my acid reflux to go to bed with a full tummy C) I haven't noticed a change in a scale and even though I am keeping within my points I think it's the late night eating and my body not being able to digest properly. So SORRY honey you're going to have to eat alone at 10pm. Anyone else have this problem?

We do. We end up sitting on our porch at night talking and before we know it its 9 PM and we haven't even started cooking. I would get yourslef some progresso light soups and eat that or a piece of fruit whil he has his dinner. Eat your dinner earlier

Re: Late Night Eating
I honestly think eating late is a myth. I am a big snacker and I try and leave a decent number of points for my snacks at night. I eat a smaller dinner and have a bunch of low point snacks on hand. WW ice cream, 2 point pudding, 100 calorie almonds, 1 point Fiber one bars. So, I still get my late night fix.

i eat up to an hour before i go to bed. you really shouldnt be depriving your body at any time.
eat something lowfat and high protein, high fiber. you wont feel hungry and youll do your body good.
my go-to fix is always lowfat/nonfat, plain greek yogurt. you can add berries or honey to sweeten it.

Re: Late Night Eating
Snacking is one thing, full on eating a meal at 10pm is another. Plus it's not good for my acid reflux, and falling asleep right after eating isn't great for your digestion. I did not eat after 7pm last night and I woke up feeling better, no burning in my throat and the scale was lighter so

Re: Late Night Eating
Eating dinner past 7-8 each night and then going to bed 2-3 hours later is definitely going to hurt your diet. You probably also wake up feeling like crap which is going to affect your breakfast and throw off your day. I would suggest eating on your own and then having a salad, yogurt or fruit with your DH when he gets home, if you are hungry. Late night snacks aren't awful for your diet as long as they are light and you should stay up for at least an hour after to help the food digest.
