Late Night Cravings Beware

My neighbor is 3 days past her due date. (with no end in sight!-but that's another story) Her DH gets home from work around 12:30am so she usually waits up for him to give him "dinner" and to spend time together. They have a 19 month old that has been suffering from the croup.

ANY WAY...

Last night they decided to go to 7/11 for slurpees at about 2am. B/C the baby has croup my neighbor decided to go with her DH, and bring the baby, b/c the night air tends to help such things. They get pulled over on the way to 7/11 for basically nothing more than being the only car out at 2am. The cop notices something "funny" with the DH eye (his pupil is shaped funny due to an accident) and makes him go through the whole DWI thing. Then the cop proceeds to lecture him on taking out his wife and child at 2am. Telling him he's going to take him in for endangering the welfare of a child etc. The cop kept them there for literally like an hour! This female officer happens by and gets out to assist the other officer. She listens to the story and tells them to go home...as they are getting into the car they hear her ask the other officer if he is married or has kids..he says no...she then explains a few things to him about pregnant women and babies with croup.

Sounds like your neighbor had some night. Did she ever get her slurpee.

OY!!!!!!!!!!! I have been having these problems as well. I work until 1am, so I am out on the road during the 'drunk' hour. I have been pulled over a few times since I took this promotion in October. (I don't speed and was only pulled over 1 time in my first 14 years of driving.) Two times I was pulled over recently because I've had a burnt out light. The last one happened last month, and I had to PEEEEE!!!!!!
