Last night's "pearl" from DH (mini-update)
Ladies I tell you this one takes the cake...
In an attempt to make me laugh and distract me from my discomfort and the fact that Ed-lie is breech, DH makes a proclamation:
"You know, I think you should lie with your feet on the wall because I think you are confusing the baby."
So I said:
"Are you telling me that her feet are down because MINE are?"
And he says:
"Maybe your center of gravity is off."
And I said:
"Well why don't I just friggin walk on my hands then?"
(Mind you my DH WAS in fact kidding throughout this interaction, but he really DID make me laugh.)
Then he once again, told Ed-lie:
"Farts are funny." - because they are.
It is truly amazing how two highly educated people can produce children. Ed-lie's mother wears cheese hats and bras while her father is the poet laureate of Western Nassau County. Someone save her.
UPDATED with a late night unexpected pearl:
As we prepare for tonight's blissful slumber:
DH(looking at my belly): Aww it looks like a beach ball on my wife with a baby in it!

I think this sense of humor will keep us married forever. It sure as hell is better than being married to a dud with no personality.

I love your stories!!!
I wish my dh would lighten up and say funny things like this! He's still in stressed out mode. Only in week 11, so I guess I have time for him to relax... Yay for me!

on a side note, i am trying to convince my DH to teach our  that farts are NOT funny. ick - i hate typing the word. i won't even say it out loud.
i know it's not going to work. DH is the gassiest man on the planet - and proud of it. it's a Carlotti family trait.

Well today's pearls should be pretty good. Tonight is our BFing class. He asked me if there will be "live models."
Prepare for a real treat around 11pm when we get home. I may have to bring a pad and pen to take notes.

Leslie, I don't know why, but I saw a car in front of me this morning on my way to work with this on the trunk, and it made me think of Ed and his pearls of wisdom
