Last night was first night in crib and first Angelcare false alarm...

I know so many of you have said you've never had a false alarm with the Angelcare monitor but last night was the first night DD slept in her crib in her room and we had our first scare! DH bought a piece of plywood that's about 20x20 and I don't think she was really that far away from it. What did you do to ensure you had no false alarms? I swear, i don't think I ever moved as quickly as I did last night! DD totally slept through it but I don't think I slept at all after that!

we only got false alarms when we'd forget to turn off the monitor.

Our crib is one solid piece at the bottom, so we never had an issue. I don't know if 20x20 is big enough, you want to cover the entire area he baby will be on. And maybe set it to a more sensitive level.

Honestly, I wouldn't mind false alarms (with reason), as long as it didn't miss any real ones!

Same with us, no false alarms here. Only when I forget to turn it off when I get up to feed her, My husband loooooves that.

I agree with PP I'd get plywood to cover the whole crib, ours is a solid piece so I just placed it down.

I did not buy the monitor because on Amazon I read a lot about false alarms in the reviewsChat Icon
