Last 3 weeks Drs visit TWICE a week? UPDATE

A month ago I started coming in every two weeks and I specifically remember him saying I would start coming in every week soon. Then on Sat he wanted to see me again Tues. I asked if something was wrong- he said no, the appts are going to be twice a week now until the end. I don't have GD, my blood pressure was fine, sono was fine (baby is head down now but I don't think "dropped" yet), and my cervix was beginning to soften but not dilated at all.

Anyway, does twice a week sound excessive to anyone or normal?

I know this is ridiculous b/c he has to tell me if something is wrong but it made me feel like he wants to monitor me b/c of something he didn't say... I know that's crazy though.

My DH was like I should have asked further but I felt stupid b/c I didn't want to be redundant/ look like I was questioning his practices.

UPDATE
I was just being paranoid- he swore up and down he has no specific concern about me and it's just his policy the last few weeks to see his patients twice a week. I guess some things like preeclampsia can show up suddenly and unexpectedly. Oh and I am only getting an internal at one of the visits each week.

Honestly, I have never heard of coming in twice a week unless they were monitoring something. But just because I've never heard of that, or my practice doesn't do that, doesn't mean it's not standard for your practice.

It honestly depends on your practice. It is not a common practice to have a preggo come in twice a week unless she was being monitored for something, but everyone does it differently-I would call and ask.
