Lap Band Surgery?
Has anyone had or known anyone who had lap band surgery?
If so, can you tell me who your surgeon was?
If you are more comfortable to FM me, that is fine too!

I had it. I had a slip and had to have it removed...
Before I had problems with it, I loved it. Thought it was the greatest thing ever. I had quite a bit of issues with it and was sad to see it go... But had no choice.

My sister just had to have hers removed in an emergency. She got pregnant, they deflated it, and she had to give birth early and have it removed because it slipped and nearly killed her. She never lost weight and they think she may have had an undiagnosed hernia (apparently they are supposed to give you a swallow bariatric test before doing the surgery-she never had it) and it almost cost her her life. I'm not saying not to do it, just make sure you research your doctor extremely carefully!! My sister definitely did not do enough reserach.
