landscape architecht

OK, so DH and I are finally done with renovating the inside of our house.

Now to the outside.

We have a half acre and I have a lot of "garden" areas. I have tried every spring to plant stuff, but I don't know what I am doing.

I need someone to come and design and tell me what plants would work. any recs? how much would this cost?

Re: landscape architecht

We got a quote for our backyard from Island Associates.

We didn't go ahead with them yet but I loved how they planned out our space. Plus they give you the option to buy their design if you want to be your own contractor.

Our space included a deck, patio, firepit, pool, and landscaping.

I can't attest to their work but the designing process was great.

eta: we're on a 70 x 100 property and our backyard fit all of the above and room for a grassy area for a future swingset! They did a great job planning-wise!

eta again: our quote was $50K. $20K was for the pool... Plus I wanted natural stone, not pavers, and composite decking (not Trex, another brand) so that added up. We figure with less expensive materials and without the pool - we can do it ourselves for $15K.
