Lancaster in the fall?
The Hands-on-House, like a please touch museum. 721 Landis Valley Road, Lancaster
Kitchen Kettle Village. Shopping, horse and buggy rides, culture and an amazing place to have an authentic lunch. 3529 Old Philadelphia Pike, Intercourse PA.
Intercourse Pretzel Factory. There is an awesome pretzel making demo and hands-on session for children and they can eat the pretzel they made! So much fun for kids. It's in the Cross Keys Village center, 3614 Old Philadelphia Pike, Intercourse.
The Turkey Hill Ice Cream Factory experience. Learn about Ice Cream and eat enough of it to explode, lol. 301 Linden Street, Columbia, PA.
The Amish Farm and House. This one is very interesting. The actual house and farm are behind a very commercial and modern industrial area, but since it was the first ever Amish attraction int he US it has been preserved. They go into "how" on the tour. There's so much to do. Animals on the farm, a bus tour,b Covered bridge experience, horse and buggy rides, an old schoolhouse and quiltmaking. 2395 Lincoln Highway East, Lancaster.
Have fun!

Lancaster in the fall?
we've only been in late august as well but are considering going in December, before the holidays. Not sure about kids activities but thinking the Christmas decorations and the show at Sight and Sound should be awesome!

Lancaster in the fall?
we are going next week for a few days. this is our first time so we are going to Dutch Wonderland, Strasburg Railroad and then spending a day in Amish country - probably Kitchen Kettle Village. we wanted to check out Cherry Crest Farm because i have heard great things about it, but they are only open Thurs/Fri/Sat in the fall. it's a great time of year to visit there, but some places do have limited hours.
