Lamaze toys
Based on all the great reviews, we are considering getting some Lamaze toys such as Freddie the Firefly. How concerned should we be that they are made in China and that they could possibly contain toxic chemicals including BPA, lead and others which no doubt will end up in our daughter's mouth. Thanks!

Re: Lamaze toys
Unfortunately, almost all baby toys are made in China. There are a couple of brands including Haba that have a line of non-toxic baby toys that are made in Germany. They are mostly wooden toys and although they are not as popular as Lamaze they are safer and have received good reviews. You can find Haba baby toys at Amazon.

Re: Lamaze toys
Haba is a very good brand. It was really hard for me to find them in stores but I did find one in Buy Buy Baby. DD did not really take to it like I hoped that she would. She preferred the lamaze toy butterfly/firefly.

We have Lamaze toys, we like them. I got DS the My First Toolbox set they put out. It's hard to find anything not made in China these days.....

Re: Lamaze toys
DS had Freddie the Firefly. He never really put it in his mouth. He just liked to crinkle the wings and listen to the sounds it made and also look at the mirror and shake it.
