I know this has been asked recently, but who is taking or has taken lamaze? I had my doctor's appointment last night and she gave me the form for the class from the hospital as well as the name and phone numbers of a lady who does is privately.

With DH's schedule, the "crash course" may be the best thing for us, has anyone done this?

Oh and this was definately my "holy sh!t we are having a baby moment"!!!!Chat Icon

We took one course, 3-4 hrs long, private and it was super informative and taught us just what we need to know, what to expect and options we have. It was perfect. We didn't have the time to go to classes for weeks. and yeah I left there like omg there has to be a different way to get this little guy out of there Chat Icon

I think this is similar. The hospital one is 10 weeks (and $100, which is pretty cheap when you think about it!) and since I am already 26 weeks, that is cutting it pretty close.

Did your course do a hospital tour? My DH is an EMT and he goes to the hospital I am delivering at ALL the time, so I don't really need that part.

And I have a feeling I will feel the SAME way as you!Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon

Re: Lamaze

I am taking one at the hospital, it is a six week class, 2 hours a week

We have had 4 classes so far and it is definitely worth it (ours was only $60)

We have the option of the hospital tour. The woman is actually a nurse at the hospital we may deliver at (my Dr. is affiliated with two) so she said just to call her when she's there and we could go in and she would show us around. We haven't done it yet and don't know if we will. We paid $175 for our class.
