Lake George

DH and I are visiting Lake George this week with our 2 yr old DD. This is our first time going there so I was wondering if anyone had any recommendations for things to do (toddler friendly) and good places to eat. We are staying at the Sagamore Resort so I'm sure we will eat there one or 2 nights but I heard that there is a nice town to go to. I don't want to limit ourselves.

TIA

Re: Lake George

We love it up there! We took our 2 year old in July and last year as well. Magic Forest is fun and perfect for that age. Cute rides, can do the park in 2 hours or so, a bit dated but fun. Also Million Dollar beach is nice, mini golf, there is a zoo- Adirondack Animal Land that was fun. Also, walking around the town of Lake George is great, and Bolton Landing is really nice.
A few places we ate at were Guiseppi's in town, the Adirondack Brewery and the Boathouse Restaurant at our hotel. All very good, we stayed at the Lodges at Cresthaven- beautiful!

Have a great time, hope this helps!

Re: Lake George

It's a tad expensive, but we took our 4 year old DS to Great Escape last week and he LOVED it. There are a lot of rides for the little ones and he adored going into all the little houses.

There's also the beach, or rent a pontoon boat for the day. Magic Forest (it's kind of old looking though). And I believe the Circus is still up there right now. It should be right off Beach Rd.

Oh, and the town you're referring to near The Sagamore is probably Bolton Landing. Very cute little town with great shops and restaurants. They have a few very cute toy stores in Bolton for the kids.
