Re: Lake Compounce
Wow this thread brought back memories..my friends and I went there almost 10 years ago (we were in our early 20s). We had a great time but I would describe the park as a tiny version of Six Flags Great Adventure and slightly larger than the Adventureland park on Route 110 in Farmingdale. They had 1 really cool roller coaster ride and the rest were carnival type rides suitable for kids under age 12.

Re: Lake Compounce
My sister in law goes there every year with her small children (under 10) and they love it. We went a few years back around Halloween for the Haunted Mansion and Haunted Grave Yard - It was really cool.

Re: Lake Compounce
I live 10 minutes away, we go once a year. It's a step or 2 above Adventureland, and 2 steps below 6-Flags. I think it would be lots of fun for little kids, and moderately fun for adults.
There are water rides, 2 big slides, lazy river, a log flume, and water rapids with that 8 person round thing with seats (I don't know what it's called). They have a water section for little kids, think big fancy playground with water.
There are 2 big roller coasters, a ferris wheel, some big scary ride that swings you back and forth, and a freefall drop. There are a lot of little kid rides and carnival games.
When I moved up here, my friends came up here. We did have fun!

Re: Lake Compounce
Thank you. We have gone to the Land of Make Believe with them. They are 4 and 2. So this year we want to maybe try something different. Is there anything else around there that we can do? Thanks for the help.

Re: Lake Compounce
Unfortunately there isn't much I can suggest around here. It's across the street from ESPN, you could probably get a tour there.
There is this place: CoCo Key Water Resort It's one of those water parks in the hotel deals. I think that would be the most fun. Sorry!
