Ladies who passed the 1hr???
Did you fast & for how long before.
My Dr said its not a fasting test, buy he reccommended fasting b/c they get less false positives that way...when I asked when I should stop eating, he was vague and said, at least 1 hour before...

My OB's office has me stopping food/drinks 1 hr before i'm supposed to start drinking.
FOr example my appt is next thurs at 1045am. I stop eating/drinking at 845, drink at 945 and have to be there to have blood drawn by 1045.

Re: Ladies who passed the 1hr???
I didn't really fast, I took the test on Tuesday morning. I tried to be pretty good about my eating over the weekend, but nothing crazy. The night before the test I had my usual late night snack of string cheese. The morning of the test I didn't eat my normal breakfast of cereal, but instead had a piece of whole grain toast and a string cheese. I got to my doctors office at 8:15 drank it and was fine when they took my blood at 9:15. I passed with something in the 90's.
ETA: My doctor and his staff said that fasting wasn't necessary, but they had alot LESS false positives when women did fast or eat light.

MY OB said the same exact thing...he suggested I schedule the appt first thing in the morning...so really I had nothing in me since the night before. I passed. HTH

That's a good idea...definitely just wake up and go...and go pig out afterwards somewhere!

Re: Ladies who passed the 1hr???
Nope. I didn't fast this time or the last time I was pregnant and passed both times.

Re: Ladies who passed the 1hr???
I took my test first thing on a monday morning and I limited sweets over the weekend and only had a small bowl of cheerios before drinking the drink.

Re: Ladies who passed the 1hr???
I stopped eating when I went to bed the night before, and I was at the lab when they opened at 8 (or was it 8:30? whatever). I didn't have breakfast. My Dr's office didn't say anything about eating or not, but when I signed in the girl asked if I'd had anything to eat and seemed relieved when I said no.

Re: Ladies who passed the 1hr???
I took the test around 6:30pm.
I ate regular that day but did try to stay away from heavy sugars. I drank water all day ONLY. I ate a PB&J around 5:30 to hold me over. And I passed...I was shocked!
