Ladies who had a 4D Sonogram?
I didn't because we didn't want to know what we were having, but my brother and his wife are pregnant and at the 2nd level sono the baby wasn't cooperating so they aren't sure.
My question is at a 4D sonogram can they see what sex the baby is?
Also, how much are they?
An can you recommend a place in Eastern Suffolk?
I am thinking about getting this for them as a present.

I live in California so I can't recommened a place.
Both my girls were 'shy' during my 20 week ultrasound and I HAD to know what they were . I got a 3D done with both and found out with both that they were girls.

There isn't a place in suffolk as far as I know. I went to impact techonolgies in east meadow and they were fantastic. The actual buliding/office isn't much to look at, but the tech was amazing (see pics in my album if you'd like) and btw, yes they can definately determine the sex. Best time to go IMo, is 25-30 weeks.

I went at 32 weeks with my first DD and I got amazing pictures. They did say that any later it might be harder to get clear pictures.

I went for my level II at LIJ and the was not cooperating. The tech got a quick glimpse but the doctor couldn't see (legs were crossed). The doctor guessed girl but would not commit to that answer. The tech told me she though she saw boy but again couldn't commit.
So we went to Impact to see the baby and find out the sex. The tech told me girl...even gave me the sono picture that said 'It's A Girl!" but never really showed us those lines everyone sees...we saw nothing but had no reason to doubt him.
At my growth sono (4 weeks before my shower) something made me ask and sure enough they said boy...the doctor showed me every detail...gave me the picture (clear as day) and offered to bring in other doctors to look. (They felt bad for me)
This is rare...usually you can see the parts clearly but in my case it was not and I wish I had not gone for the 3d/4d.

I wasn't that thrilled with it either. We didn't find out the sex so the tech focused on his face which was blocked by the placenta - pretty icky actually

I went to East Meadow for mine as well....the building and office was not impressive but the tech was great and the pics were amazing....my dd looked just like the pics and we were able to see that she was a girl but the tech did ask us first....he wouldn't have shown that area if we didn't want to know.
