La Quinta, CA
So, I am leaving for La Quinta, CA...outside of Palm Springs, on Monday. Has anyone been there? We are staying at the La Quinta Resort and Spa.
The weather is so wierd...80 during the day, 45 at night. How the hizzy do you pack for that kind of trip.

Re: La Quinta, CA
I've been there numerous times for work (golf tournaments).
It's warm (80s), but cold at night.
You are in the mountains, so yes you need to be prepared for drastic changes. We took shorts for the day, pants or skirts at nights with sweaters.
It wasn't really bathing suit weather (tournament was always January) as it was pretty breezy.
La Quinta is more upscale, so resortwear is the way to go.

Re: La Quinta, CA
Dress in layers. It's in the desert, that's why the temp range is more extreme.

Re: La Quinta, CA
80s in the dry air doesn't feel as warm as 80s with humidity like in NY in the summer - it'll be nice out, but not "hot". You can always bring a bathing suit and see how the temperature feels once you get there. That's the good thing about bathing suits, they're small and don't take up much room in the suitcase!
