L&D Room Spinoff for those PG with 2+
What will you be doing with your DC while you are in labor and at the hospital?
I was thinking about this, and I know the amount of time DD can be up there is limited, but I would reallyl want her there when her brother was born, however I think it is going to be too much of a distraction.

We are still debating bringing DD to the hospital. I will miss her dearly, but she's such a momma's girl, I am worried it will make her more upset when she has to leave me.
DH will be taking care of DD at night, my IL's and/or parents will be watching her during the day.
ETA: I am getting a c section, unless I go into labor before my date, my dad or bro/sil will come over to watch her.

He will be with either my mom or SIL depending when I go into labor. Since DH works 1.5 hours away with NO traffic and I go into labor durning the day then my SIL said she would come by and stay with DS and then my mom would stay with him. Either my mom or godmother would take me to the hospital. If it is at night then my mom will stay with ds again. I know, I feel bad also that DS can only see me for a limited amount of time but at the token I also want that one on one bond that I had with DS.
I definitly want him there durning the day because I can't imgaine not seeing him.

Well, I'm having my c/s at 3:45 pm today. Katherine is at my ILs now and they'll be bringing her to the hospital this evening. What's going to happen the rest of the week I don't know, but I'm going to miss her like crazy!
I bawled like a baby when DH and her pulled away in the car this morning--she was waving bye-bye to me

I am NOT bringing her. I don't think she will react well to leaving the hospital without Mommy.
Whomever will watch her will keep her or stay at our house.

My parents came over in the middle of the night to get him. He went to daycare like it was any other day since I didn't want his schedule interrupted.
He came by later in the afternoon to meet his new sister. He was more interested in playing with the sink pedals than his new sister.
The only time he noticed her is when I was holding her & then he suddenly needed to sit on my lap.

I have a friend that lives around the corner, she is a teacher and off for the summer (thank god). I've already asked her to be the "on call" babysitter for DD. So while im laboring and DH is with me in the hospital, she will be with her. I plan to have DD visit me for every sibling visiting hour possible.
