Kraupner vent..long

I hate them. Seriously, but my bad for not doing any research to find cheaper pharmacies.

So as I posted a few days ago, they charged me $1400 for what I thought were two days of Follistim and one Ovidrel. Like the saying goes, you gotta do what you gotta do, so I paid this without question.

What they actually charged me was for four days, not two days of the Follistim. The nurse ordered two days worth, plus 1 refill and they took it upon themselves to charge me for eveything. That wasnt' up to them and for that I'm pizzed.

Today I go in for my bw/sono appt. and tell the nurse what I paid. I thought she was going to faint!! She said that they overcharged me and to bring her the bill and she'd take care of it for me. At this point I feel like an idiot for paying for drugs without questioning the price, but then I thought that the pharmacy would know how much to charge me (wrong ).

I called Kraupners and asked them for the itemized bill they never sent with my delivery and to tell me how much they charged for each vial. The girl gets all flustered and gives me a price. She says that since I'm pay out of pocket they gave me a discount!! ***, that price was discounted?? Then I proceed to tell her that the nurse at LI/IVF said to me that the meds should'nt be more than $80 a vial and she ON THE SPOT AND WITHOUT QUESTION credits me the difference. How in the hell was that so easy for her to do unless they know the effed up? I guess it helped to tell her that if that's what they're charging, that LI/IVF will stop calling in these meds to their pharmacy. Yeah, a little fib, but I think it helped.

It made me second guess each and every time I ordered from then and paid out of pocket which at this point has amounted to $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$!!

So sorry you have to deal with this. Is there any other pharmacy you can go to? I have a list at home from my RE, I will look for you to see what is listed for LI if you want.

They let me order thru Schrafts and I've never (that I can recall) had a problem w/ them - nothing major anyway- once they screwed up my delivery day by 1 day, but I've used them several times.
Plus I think at the desk by the door at LI-IVF in Melville they had a coupon for like $150 or $200 off your order if you spent over $500.

I have to say I hate Kraupner's too. Did you try Freedom Pharmacy? They are supposedly cheaper. They charged me $70 for syringes at Kraupners!!
