knocked out tooth and dentist for 2yo

Ava,2, fell and knocked out her front tooth while at a party on Saturday.
I am taking Ava to dentist tomorrow morning to get the tooth area checked out.
I have no idea how she is going to react. Anyone ever go through this or have to take a 2yo to the dentist?

I am sorry about this and your dog.

I took my DS to the dentist at 18 months and he did just fine. He sat still and let them do whatever they need it, although he didn't have a cleaning. I brush his teeth 3-4 times a day and they didn't need to be cleaned yet.
Good luck tomorrow and I am sure she will be fine. She can normally function without front tooth.

DS knocked his tooth out at 18 months. They checked bus mouth to see if the teeth next to the knocked out tooth weren't loose or damaged. They also took an X-ray to make sure the whole tooth came out. It went ok, DS was a little scared but the visit was mercifully short. We did have to go back a month later to make sure the surrounding teeth were still good. Good luck.

Oy vey! Poor baby and poor Mommy! My daughter broke her front tooth when she was 18 months old, and I was beside myself, devastated. But I have really gotten used to it and now I think it makes her super cute! But I wish it had never happen.

My regular dentist referred me to the pediatric dental hospital and they had a good look at it, she told me that she couldn't guarantee there was not going to be any further damage, but if it hadn't already turned black it should be fine. I feel for you, and I know how upsetting it is! Poor baby!

thanks !
it went well they did an xray and an exam and found her other tooth to be loose. then that other one could become bruised looking.
it went well and really liked the dentist and office!
