Re: Knights of Columbus or VFW

I just rented the KoC hall in Kings Park this past Sunday. It was $295 for the rental fee, plus a $200 deposit which I got back the day of the party after the gentleman check to make sure we didn't burn the place down.

I believe it is less expensive if you are a member. I told them that my father and brother are members, but I don't know if I got a cheaper rate because of it or not. I'm really a chicken when asking about those kinds of things. I usually just pay what people tell me to pay.

ETA: that was just for the hall. This one didn't have any catering or bar facilities. There is a kitchen that you can use. I had it catered by a local deli.

Have you considered the Masons? I know there is one in Huntington that seems very inexpensive.

The K of C I called was about $450 PLUS $12/head for beverages (even if you didn't get alcohol) and it was a little less for kids.
This did NOT include food, table linens, or anything else.
For that price you might as well pay a few bucks extra go to a restaurant w/ ambiance, service, food, etc...!!!
