Kitchen Dining Set

Our home has an open floor plan. The kitchen cabinets are maple with brushed nickel finishes. The floor throughout is Oak. Our LR furniture is Cherry, Frames on the walls are Cherry, Black and Gold tones. The kitchen set I'm looking at is black with a cherry table top and seats. Do you think this will go since my cabinets are maple?

I don't want maple or oak. Then it would all just blend in. I figured the cherry would look nice and pick up the cherry in the LR and the Black would pick up our frames?

The room is more an informal dining room right off the kitchen, it's open.
KWIM?

The kitchen is Mustard yellow, the LR a pale green.

What do you think?

Re: Kitchen Dining Set

This is our Great Room. We have different color cabinets, flooring and furniture. I think everything goes together nicely. We have a cherry DR table, and the entertainment center is cherry also. But the floors are oak and the cabinets are cherry wood with a brown stain finish. HTH! So yes, I think you can completely buy that set you want. Mixing wood tones gives the eye something to look at from room to room in an open space.
