Kinda excited after today's appointment...
I had my first internal today at 34 weeks and it seems the baby has flipped! That is what the pressure I felt after the superbowl ended up being I guess! Cooking for 10+ hours will do that I suppose!
So the baby is head down and very low the doctor said...although at 34 weeks I am not dialated yet.
I asked what happens if I go into labor before the date of my c-section. We have a csection scheduled since I had one with my first DD due to her size.
The doctor said he would be 100% supportive of me going for a "vbac!" It's been 6.5 years so there would be little risk involved, the baby is already in position, I've had no problems with the pregnancy and the baby seems to be a normal size (DD was 9lbs 10oz because of my GD).
So now the thought of a regular v-birth is in my head and I am so excited about the possibility. Of course we will keep the c-section as planned but the "what if" has me excited today!

Oh wow, that is exciting!
I'll be honest, I'm totally rooting for you to have a VBAC. I had one and it was a seriously amazing experience.

Re: Kinda excited after today's appointment...
This is our last child (#2) and I have to admit that there was a level of disappointment last time that I had to have a c-section. I do not know what labor feels like or even hardcore contractions --- and while everyone tells me that I should consider myself lucky, I feel like I missed out on something.
Now I've had 6 years to get over that feeling after having my first c-section, but....the possibility of being able to experience it with baby #2! It is just exciting. Plus with a c-section there is more recovery, you have to wait longer to hold your child and to breastfeed your child...I just feel like a vbac would be more ideal!

I'm with LB all the way on this! My DD was a VBAC and I am going for the vaginal birth again this time. OB told me my risks were greatly reduced this time since it's been 8 years since I had my c/s. I know my body can handle it, I was very successful the first time!
Only way I'll end up with a c/s is if my BP rises (I am on meds now to control it, so it's a big factor). Or the baby gets too big.... We shall see!
Good Luck!
