Kinda bummed today

So, I had a doc appt & a sono scheduled today (28.5 weeks preggo, but they're still checking my cervix b/c I have a bicornuate uterus). Anyway, I cancelled the appt b/c my parents made me feel bad about going out in this weather (altho they're prob right anyway).

I've been in the apt all day & am starting to get a bit down on myself. I graduated from law school in May & haven't been able to find a job, so I'm basically a stay-at-home wife who doesn't do much cooking or cleaning. I'm usu very active (physically & mentally), so this has been a big change for me. Just having a down day & needed to vent a little. I usu love the snow, but all I want to do is go for a nice, long walk! Argh.

Its hard not to get in a funk with this crappy weather constantly surrounding us!!

Hopefully tomorrow will be a better day!

I'm in the same position, but I was in the middle of completing my Ph.D. I've been a staying home since September and I have no idea what to do with myself half the time. Sorry that you are going through it too

Oh I TOTALLY hear you!

I lost my job in November and went from being in a different city every week in a very interactive training job to staying at home and it was a big adjustment.. . I have done a lot to keep myself buys and now in the end I am soo happy to have more time to relax and get things ready but it'a huge change. .

I find that if I have something to do/go every day it feels great. I have gotten on a nice schedule with the gym, stepped on my involvement for a board of directors that I am on, and done a little writing etc. .

try to find some things that make you feel like you are doing something worthwhile! And not like staying home is NOT worthwhile for folks that do that but it is a shift. . and I feel like when LO comes I will be happy to have the time here but it the meantime if you are soooo used to being busy it can feel like especially when my DH used to ask me what I did each day and I would inside my head be 'WHAT DO YOU THINK I DID TODAY? NOOOOTHING!!"

Thanks so much for the positive thoughts, ladies. Yea, I try to have a plan for each day (either a project at home or someplace to go to), but it gets tough w/o the extra money. (We're trying to save for a house, which isn't easy on one salary, as I'm sure a lot of you have experienced, so I'm hesitant to spend anything).

Luckily, I did get a lot of paperwork organization done today. Hopefully tomorrow will be decent (even snow w/o the icey crap), & I'll get out a bit. Sorry to hear that there are others in this position too, but I'm glad that we can be there for each other in cyberspace!
