Kiinde
Does anyone use the Kiinde system? I have all the stuff and was really excited to use it when DD arrives but I am starting to have doubts. I love the idea of pumping right into the bags and then giving bottles right out of the bags but then I wondered about the fact that all the bags are going to have differing amounts. If I start evening them out, etc, doesn't that defeat the purpose of it? Am I overthinking this? I havent heard from anyone in "real life" who has used the system and would love to hear your experience. Thanks!

The only thing I use is the Kiinde warmer bc it's the only one that's safe for breastmilk and doesn't hurt its contents.
I have no problem pumping into my spectra bottles the pump comes with and pouring into dr brown bottles, medela storage bottles or nuk freezer bags.

I got the whole kit for my shower and it was the only gift that I really didn’t use. Like you, I thought it was a great idea but once I started using it, not so much. I found the measurements on the bag not to be accurate. If I over-filled them then I would end up wasting milk and if I under-filled them then my DS could maybe still be hungry after a feeding. The bottle and nipple itself was awkward and my DS didn’t take to the nipple at all. He was EBF and the texture of it was extremely hard. The storage case took up way too much space and was pointless since I ended up having an over-supply. I used it for a few days and just gave it up. I think the bags were meant to be reused and cleaning them didn’t seem too hygienic for me, though I am not sure if that was supposed to be the case. I just ended up getting the lansinoh bags and laying them flat in our freezer. I did use the bottle warmer for a while, but that ended up breaking after like 3 months. Kiinde was pretty good about replacing it but by the time I got the replacement my MIL had already gotten used to warming the milk up in a cup of hot water. IMO, it was a fail.

Hmm...sounds like I should return it. You pretty much confirmed all of my concerns. Thanks for your feedback!

Thats what I did with DD1 and it worked. I guess if it's not broke, don't fix it. Thanks for your feedback!
