MyRide will last you to 5 or 6 years of age, has a higher RF and FF limit.
Most children outgrow the comfortsport by height by 2-3 years old. It only has a 14" top harness slot which is quickly outgrown.

Really? DS is 2 and 40", and I think we still have one more harness slot to go.

Really.
Actually, I just checked the database, it's 13.75", so less than I stated earlier.
Most 40" tall kids I've seen still have 2 harness slots in the MyRide (16.5" top slots) 3.25" of torso growth is a long time. If you have a FF kid, the tips of their ears need to be below the shell and their shoulders need to be lower than where the harness comes out of the seat.
Torso length matters. 40" on a leggy kid is different than 40" on a kid with a long torso. This is why the heights listed on car seats aren't a good indicator of whether or not the seat is outgrown, whereas weight is an absolute limit.
my 35" tall almost 4 year old only has 1 slot remaining on the CS, but she has a relatively long torso (and is the size of a 2 year old). She has 2 full slots above her in the MyRide.
