I take my daughter to the YMCA in Patchogue. She loves it. The pool and facility and nice and clean. Sometimes the classes are crowded (esp evenings or Saturdays once school starts) but she's doing great and really enjoys it. She's not the bravest and is still wary of going underwater (and still uses floaties) but as long as she's comfortable in the water I'm happy.

We tried the YMCA first but didn't like their methods (I don't like when they use floaties) and the classes were always so crowded. Seemed like he never learned all that much and had to repeat a level (I heard one woman say it was the fifth time her child took that particular level). We switched to NYSC (we went to the one at the Tanger Outlets in Deer Park). Classes were never crowded and he learned much more in a shorter period of time. We have since moved on to a swim team but I was mainly happy with them.

British Swim School

DS did Safety Swim, town swim lessons finally got it with British Swim School.

YMCA Patchogue. Both my girls learned to swim there. They are excellent swimmers and we have them to thank.
