Kids bath
Woudl you put marble small tiles (mosaic) in a childrens bath??? I am thinking it might be slippery?
We are doing subway tile on the wall and a stand up shower. I have no clue what to put on the floor.

Re: Kids bath
Small tiles are less slippery than the same material in larger tiles because of the extra grout and breaks in the tile. Of course, if the tiles are made of slippery material, the floor would be slippery, but in general, small tiles are good. For our DC's bathroom, I went with small tiles (1 inch square) for that reason.

Re: Kids bath
Any tile will be slippery when wet, but I agree with the idea of the smaller tile, the less slippery it will be because of grout. I don't know if I would go as small as 1 inch for flooring because all of the grout will be hard to clean being that small.
I used 2 inch hexagon for my floor with subway tile walls (check out my house album) a lot of people told me I was crazy for going that small because of all the grout, but it seems to be ok so far.

Re: Kids bath
like other posters have said, the smaller the tile the less chance of a slip, but tile in general is very slippery when wet. tiles without the glaze or shine to them, tend to be slightly less slippery too.
