KIDCO gates for stairs
So we have to buy a Kidco Gate for the bottom of our stairs since jacen loves to go up and down them and could do it all night long.
My question is, we are buying the Kidco G15 Center gate, an extension for it and what i want to know is... do i need to buy an installation kit for it????
ETA: also is the only place to get the G15 Center walkway gate online at amazon?

We pretty much bought everything at BBB. Whether you need the installation kit depends on what your wall looks like where you're mounting it. We installed the G15 in a door frame (pressure mounted) next to the staircase and didn't need the installation kit.
The only place we used the installation kit was at the top of our stairs because we had base molding on the side and we needed to drill the top gate into a flat wall surface. HTH!
By the way, if you buy the gates at BBB, make good use of the Bed Bath and Beyond coupons. You can get 20% off all the Kidco gates with them!

I have one but haven't installed it yet. From my understanding, if you don't want to drill into your banister, or if you have an uneven banister (with no flat surfaces), you will need the installation kit. I bought 2 installation kits but will probably only end up needing one because I realized I can put the gate at another angle and have one side against the wall.
Hope that helps!!!
