Kid hand soaps

So, DS 1 is finally potty trained and getting him to wash his hands each time after he makes can be a problem. I think bc he goes so much. Mostly bc we are training and doesn't ask so I keep taking him to the bathroom so often. Lol

Anyway, I bought one of those kid soaps that looks like a lizard and it's purple. Now he loves it, but the darn purple gets on everything. I know the towels will get washed and it will come off, but what a pain cleaning it up each time. Thought soap didn't need this much work. Lol

wow.. i just use foaming soap from Bath and body works. LOL We have it in there for us so she uses it. Never crossed my mind to get her special soap. She just likes the foam. LOL I took her to pick out her own soap. (color for her scent ok'ed by me)

We have an electric soap pump, and the kids get a kick out of it. I think it's lysol brand. I hated that purple stuff too

Thank god. I always feel dumb when I see stuff on here like "I had no idea they had kid soaps!" Chat Icon

My poor kid misses out on a lots of fun kid stuff because it just never occurs to me to think that way. Soap is soap. I do use kid toothpaste! but the generic store brand. Same for her very ordinary tooth brush (kid size but generic) it does have a suction cup on the bottom to hold it still. No cup for her to rinse her mouth, use your hands. Generic standard tissues, trash bin. I'm just not in sync with the kid stuff.. (still Chat Icon )

Eh... I wouldn't really consider kid soap missing out on anything. Just got it to get DS more into washing his hands. I'll go out and get another foaming soap that doesn't stain purple. I grew up with no sugar cereals, kid soaps or shampoos and I turned out fine. Chat Icon

Sometimes I buy the softsoap for DD that has Dora or Spongebob on it. It's just regular hand soap- only the bottle is different.
