Kid friendly all inclusives
Can anyone recommend a good kid friendly all inclusive resort? We want to start planning our summer vacation. Would love to go back to Beaches but couldn't afford that now. Any other good ones? We'll have a 7 and 3 year old.

would you do a cruise?? we just went on the NCL Breakaway the week before Christmas. It sails out of NYC, so no airfare cost, and sometimes they offer "kids sail free" weeks. We have one DS, who is 3 and he had a great time! they have a nice kid's splash area with SpongeBob characters that spray water, 2 pools, like 5 or 6 water slides, a mini golf course, a Ropes Course where you can walk across rope bridges and stuff. They also have a drop-off kid's program that's included that has great planned-out activities. its not quite an all inclusive, bc you pay for alcohol... but the food was all taken care of, and basic drinks like iced tea and juice.

Iberostar paraiso maya/lindo is one of my faves! My 3 kids ages 2.5-8.5 are always begging to go back!

We went to Now Saphire in Riviera Maya. while we went as a couple, there were many families there. I believe they are owned by the same parent company as Dreams, which also appears to be family friendly. These are also much cheaper than the sandals/beaches brand. Not sure how they compare as I have not been to beaches or sandals.

The Reserve at Paradisus Punta Cana was awesome! They have family concierege and a kids club which DS was begging to go to by the end of the trip (and he usually hates to leave us!)

We really enjoyed Dreams Riviera Cancun when we went 2 years ago. Looking to go back soon.

I was looking into this! A problem I had with the Gem that also left out of NY was that the pool was too deep to stand in. It had to of been 6 feet deep all around so we really couldn't enjoy it with the kids. Is this the case with the pool in Breakaway? We are really considering this for next summer.

Club Med has a lot of great options too. They are also offering specials for the summer months right now. It's a completely different kind of resort from when I was a kid and I was pleasantly surprised by how ultra inclusive they are and how much they cater to families.

We are looking into the same thing with our 4 year old. I'm also a little concerned taking her to certain places. I guess my main concern is safety and if she got sick.
