The Island City House. Small place. most if not all the rooms are suites so you have a little kitchen area. Walking distance to everything but not noisy.
I have stayed at Casa Marina and it was nice but IMO just another typical hotel. Tons of B & Bs also.

OK..thanks. What airport do you fly into? What part of the keys do you recommend? Hubby and I would also like to do a fishing trip.

We stayed at the Westin Key West and it was great.
We flew into/out of Key West - we connected in Fort Lauderdale and Tampa.

We rented a condo in the Truman Annex which was great because we had our own kitchen, laundry etc.
We flew to Ft Lauderdale and drove because we wanted to see everything on the way.

We also fly into Ft. Lauderdale or Miami and then drive (about 4 hours) to Key West. There are lots of fun restaurants, bars, and other stops along the way as well as the bridges. For the record my husband is terrible about driving and traffic but he's the one who insists that we drive through the keys.
