Keeping vegetables good
Can someone tell me how they keep their vegetables good. DH and I shop on Sat/Sunday and by tuesday it seems like the vegetables are bad.
I just took out the string beans we bought Sunday and they are already brown in areas and just dont look fresh.
How do you store your veggies.
Thanks

Re: Keeping vegetables good
I put them in a Debbie Meyer green bag and they last A LONG TIME. Just follow the directions (basically.. fold over the bags and wipe out the moisture every day or so) and put them in the cripser drawer. They work great for bananas too.

Re: Keeping vegetables good
I got a fruit and veggie keeper at a Tupperware party, and it works great. I was having the same problem with string beans, and also with strawberries, and this container makes them last a lot longer.
