Since your Divorce how do you deal with hearing about peoples engagement's. I am curious because my sisiter got engaged last night and I was happy yet couldn't help but cry ... maybe it was because I got engaged at X-mas as well?? How do you deal?

aww no, don't feel bad about that at ALL .. its a perfectly normal reaction, you are happy for your sis but yet sad /melancholy about what happened to you .. and this time of year just emphasizes it

It still is tough for me. Its been a year already but sometimes it feels like yesterday. For me it is when someone announces they are pregnant that I start to get upset. I really wanted to be married and start a family. Now I feel like I took 5 steps back.. Am I glad I made the right decision, yes but it still hurts. I spend $$ thats how I deal. I spent so much $$ that i dont have on gifts for others because thats what makes me happy. I do have great guy in my life now and that helps but I just take one day at a time! hang in there!
