Katie Holmes Covers 'Marie Claire' October 2010
Katie Holmes pairs her J. Mendel dress and DKNY tank on the October 2010 cover of Marie Claire, on stands Sept. 14. Here’s what the 31-year-old The Romantics actress opened up about:
On what it’s like being Mrs. Tom Cruise: “It’s really exciting. Tom’s as big at home as he is on the movie screen. He’s so passionate about everything, whatever he’s doing. When he’s being a dad, he’s right there;he’s giving it his all. It’s inspiring and it’s fun. It’s an amazing life, but we always remind ourselves of how incredibly lucky we are.”
On having more children: “Maybe in a couple of years, but right now I want to make sure I’m really there for Suri. I’m the youngest in my family-my closest sister is 5 years older than me, and the next one is nine years ahead of me, so I was a bit of an only child, and I liked it! I liked having all of my mom’s attention, and sometimes I think I still do.”
On what part of her upbringing she hopes to pass along to Suri: “We travel a lot, and so for me, it’s keeping a daily schedule for Suri that never changes. We wake up, and we do the same thing. She does her chores. I think it’s very important. If she doesn’t get her chores done, I notice she’s not really herself. She has to make her bed, she has to take her dishes to the sink, she has to put her clothes in the laundry — you know, that basic stuff. I try to do what my mom did for me … just spending time with her, making doll clothes and planting in the garden … When Suri comes to the set, we have art projects, and I just try to keep her busy and inspired.”

the thing about suri and the chores was a little weird...it sounds like encouraging ocds - it was weird that she said she didn't feel right if she didn't do her chores....that's how i am but i think i have cleaning ocd issues LMAO (or at leas that is what everyone tells me!)

what get's me is that she uses these over the top adjectives like "Amazing, Fantastic, passionate etc" and it's not all rainbows and unicorns dancing on clouds like she always tries so hard to vocalize.
I'd like to see if Nicole Kidman would use the same words to describe him.
I still think that Suri is really Chris Klein's baby and this whole whirlwind dating, baby, marriage thing was a business deal to get Tom back on top LOL sounds crazy but I believe it.

I totally believe what she is saying BUT I happen to think that if she were married to or had a child with anyone else, it wouldn't seem so robotic. I think Tom has changed her completely. He may as well have been the one that did the interview. I feel like everything she says/feels is just coming from him and he has convinced her that things need to be a certain way otherwise they are wrong.

I remember seeing Oprah last year or 2 years ago when she visited Tom (1st interview since the couch) and Katie no joke said "I love you" to Tom at least 3 times in front of Oprah and he never answered her back!
