Kalahari for 4 year old
For my son's fourth birthday in November I think we are going to come here as opposed to having a birthday party for him. Who has been here? Is there a lot to do for a rambunctious four your old boy? Would he enjoy it? Thanks for any insight.

Yes - we took my son last year when he was 4 and loved it. We just went back when he was 5 and the new extension is amazing!
Hoping to go back in the fall now that DS 1 is a true 48 inches.

For those that have been to Camelback, which did you like better? We just did 2 nights at Camelback this week...it was fun, but the rooms weren't great (dark and dingy for being a newer place).

I feel that way about Kalahari, to be honest.
The rooms are very dark IMO and i Know they are going for the African theme but to be honest it just looks dingy and dark to me and the decor is not very nice.
It's clean but I'm like eh on the decor

EXACTLY how this was!! We booked a king bunk bed room, and it was so dark I couldn't even see inside my bag when I was trying to get something out of it! I had to try to move a lamp over to the other side of the room. The furnishings are all dark too!

Yeah I"m not a fan. But I love Kalahari so much and we're barely in the room so I overlook it. But it's not cheap and I feel like they could have done better on the rooms.

The rooms are fairly basic... The last time we stayed - our room was really far too which was annoying.
But, like Nell said, the place is great so it's worth it.

We went last year. The children's water area is a lot of fun. I felt like there weren't enough life guards though. The rooms didn't seem clean even though they were fairly new.

Kalahari for 4 year old
I am going in November for my soon to me 6 year old twins birthday. They asked to do this instead of a party. The rate was really good we are going 11/10-12 and the total is $468 for 2 nights. I have heard only good things.
