Re: Kalahari

It's sooo much fun.
No real tips or tricks- it's super easy. They have towels in the water park if you dont' want to drag your own... they are small, but they work fine.

Any child under a certain height- i think it's 48 inches- check the website- has to be in a life vest. You can bring your own life vest or puddle jumper- or they have them their for you to use. They are strict about it too.

A good restaurant in the area for dinner is the Barley Creek Brewery.... very good and kid friendly too.

For breakfast we just ate at the restaurant there- there is a buffet too, but we do the sit down breakfast.

Food in the food court (downstairs near the waterpark) is gross, over priced and you wait forever for it- very disorganized how it's laid out so avoid if you can.

I LOVE the super sized boozy drinks they sell at the swim up bars in the water park!

You will have as much fun as the kids- I was going down the slides like crazy! (maybe it was due to the above mentioned boozy drinks!!! Chat Icon )

Thanks!

I'm super pumped about the swim up bar. We have grandparents coming along which makes it even more fun for us, haha!

You recommended a Brewery for dinner...it's like you know me! Haha. Definitely checking that out.

LOL! The food happens to be very good there, they have a very big menu with lots of options and they have a kids menu, so it's a win/win.
There is usually a long wait though, and they don't take reservations, so get their early if you can

Has anyone been there around Halloween? I'm wondering if they do a Halloween event like GWL does, with trick or treating, costume party and dance, pumpkin painting, etc. ?
