Just wanted to share a happy ending..
My mom's neighbor is a cat lady. I think right now she has 5 or 6. She LOVES her cats. So last night, I'm at my mom's house and my neighbor tells us she's missing one of her cats- the one that sleeps with her. She is confined to one part of the house and she can't understand where she could be. she hasn't seen her in a day and fears she may have died because she doesn't hear her crying. So my brother helps her look and they can't find her, so they ask me to help. She says she thinks she's IN the recliner. So my brother lifts the recliner and I feel the bottom (the batting part) and there is definitely something in there... So we open the recliner and I'm really thinking I'm going to find a dead squished cat (sorry for the mental image) Low and behold..there is a cute little cat face staring at me like "you woke me up!" she was alive!! We weren't sure if she was stuck or just hiding for some sleep..so we cut part of the recliner and she came flying out! Still don't know how she got in there and whether she was stuck, couldn't figure out how to get out or just enjoying the solitude. I'm just so happy it had a happy ending for my neighbor, she was so worried!!

The cat I had when I was younger would do that. The way we figured it out was that my mom felt something pushing up on her butt when she was sitting in the chair. It was kitty's head!
